We were finally able to get financial reports from the fire district.
Financial statements from Platte Canyon Fire Protection and Ambulance for the year 2008. These are all PDF files so be patient while they load in a new window. Use the tools on your browser to set the size to 100% for best reading. (At least that's how it looks best on my computer.)
Administrative expenses: breakdown of pay and benefits and other administrative expenses paid from the fire department budget
Activities: statement of all income and expenses for the department
Budget comparison: lists budget changes and compares to actual income and expenses
Auditor letter: the auditor's opinion of the financial statements?
Net Assets: shows what the value is of money and other assets the department owns
The rest of the Audit report: this is the whole thing with notes. Pages 2 - 7 aren't audited, they are just the fire department's own opinion of their numbers according to the auditor's letter. The whole report originally released didn't include the auditor's opinion letter or the breakdown of administrative detailed expenses shown above in separate pages. Those were asked for later when they were discovered missing.
